Outside
The church building received new paint on the outside in 1971. A new roof was installed by the old association in 2013. Not much else has been done to the outside since that time and is in bad need of repair. The Blue Springs Historical Association has accepted the responsibility of maintaining the grounds and restoring the building. Your help is needed with this project. Please donate.

Inside
The Synod of the Lutheran Church in America closed the Blue Springs Church in 1971 when only five members remained and assigned real property ownership and management responsibilities to Blue Springs Cemetery Association until 2014 when all board members died. The Church of God and later the Mennonites rented the building and took good care of the inside of the building from 1971 until December 2015.
